Artist Bio

It was in February of 2006 that my husband and I took a leap of faith and followed our dreams to be near the beach. My primary focus is our natural environment of Delmarva. The earth is our home and we need to take note of what we have. I want to express my excitement over the incredible things I am so fortunate to encounter. I hope in some way through my art I can help promote and protect our natural wonder and the place I now call home.

The driving force of my work is to share with the viewer the inherent aesthetic beauty that all living things possess, be it raging surf or a tranquil pond. I want to express my excitement over the incredible things I am so fortunate to encounter. Much of my passion to paint came from early childhood influences, such as studying the art of revered artist Robert Bateman. Watching episodes of Jacques Cousteau served as kindling for the intense desire to capture the spirit ever so delicate in nature.

I have vowed to myself to make it a practice at the start of each new work to reflect on all that I have learned and never take for granted all the blessings that have been put before me. Each day brings a new experience and I strive to make positive growth in my abilities as an Artist. I have discovered the key ingredients for artistic success are courage and focus to pursue the passion and the possibilities will happen!
